Important COVID-19 Information for ALL families

Dear Prince of Peace parents, guardians and families,

Today, Alberta Health Services (AHS) notified us that an individual at Prince of Peace Lutheran School tested positive for COVID-19. We are working closely with AHS to ensure the necessary precautions are taken to protect students and staff. For privacy reasons, we will not be sharing more information about the individual.

Our school will remain open for in-class learning. A deep clean of the school will be completed before students return to class tomorrow.

Those students and staff, who our records show would likely have had close contact with the individual who tested positive, have been provided additional information about mandatory isolation and will be contacted directly by AHS.

Screening for illness is an essential part of Rocky View Schools’ safety strategies to slow the spread of COVID-19. Do not send your child to school if they are sick or if they answer YES to any of the questions on the Alberta Health Daily Checklist. This checklist needs to be completed daily at home. If your child has symptoms, you need to complete the COVID-19 self-assessment for Albertans and keep your child at home. For questions about COVID-19, call 811 or visit alberta.ca/covid19.

Our prayers are with all individuals impacted by this positive case. We wish anyone impacted a quick recovery and look forward to their return to school when they are well, and it is safe. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
