Is this school just for Lutherans?

Prince of Peace Lutheran School is open to everyone, like all Lutheran schools across the country, and serves the entire community regardless of faith background.  We are a Christian school open to everyone who desires the education we provide.

What Lutherans Believe – Statement of Faith

Prince of Peace Lutheran School is a school of Lutheran Church-Canada (LCC) and as such, the Christian doctrine and practice for our school is defined by the confessional stance of LCC.  Prince of Peace welcomes students from all cultural and religious backgrounds.  In order to help those who are not familiar with what Lutherans believe, we have included a summary of Lutheran doctrine in our School Handbook.

Does the school provide transportation?

Prince of Peace Lutheran School presently has five bus routes going into Calgary (covering portions of the NE and SE), Langdon, and Chestermere and area. For details about transportation, see Busing section on our homepage.

Is there after school care?

Prince of Peace does not offer after-school care.

Is there a preschool program?

No.  At one time, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church operated a Preschool program for 3 and 4-year-olds.  This program closed at the end of the 2016-2017 school year.  For more information, click here.

Who are the teachers and support staff?

All of our teachers are certificated to teach in Alberta and are active Christians eager to provide the best possible education for their students in the context of our Christian faith.  For a current list of staff, click here.
